Certification Process
The eCOGRA Affiliate Trust accreditation is based on an assessment of the following areas:
- Affiliate revenue is calculated accurately and deductions are correctly allocated, and payments are promptly attended to and completely and accurately processed;
- Preventative and detective controls are in place to ensure accurate and correct linking of players to affiliates;
- Affiliate program applications are developed, implemented, maintained and secured in a manner representative of best practice standards; and
- Affiliate programs shall be able to demonstrate that they can recover from a system disaster.
Once an affiliate program has applied for the Affiliate Trust Seal, an agreement between the program and eCOGRA will be signed. The certification process is as follows:
- eCOGRA will conduct an on-site factual finding review to substantiate compliance with the eGAP Standards at the affiliate program operations. The review findings will be documented in a detailed Investigative Compliance Report.
- Areas of non-compliance will be reported to the program management, and where reasonably possible eCOGRA will assist in rectifying these areas.
- eCOGRA’s Seals Compliance Committee will consider the findings relevant to the eGAP Standards in the Investigative Compliance Reports and once all areas of non-compliance are rectified, confirm by issuing to the program the eCOGRA Affiliate Trust Seal, indicating that the program complies with the eGAP Standards.
- The program submits to ongoing annual compliance reviews to maintain the Seal.
The initial review is performed at a time mutually convenient to the program and eCOGRA, and will take place on-site over a period of 2 to 3 days at the location of the program operations. Follow-up review work and advisory services will be provided remotely.
